Other US Residents: Many US states have enacted or are enacting privacy laws (including Virginia VCDPA, Colorado CPA, Connecticut CTDPA, and others). 5. Cookies

We use a minimal set of cookies: • Strictly necessary cookies — required for the site to function (e.g. your theme preference). These cannot be disabled. • Analytics cookies — we may use privacy-respecting analytics (such as Vercel Analytics) to understand how visitors use our site. No personally identifiable information is collected by these tools. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings at any time. Note that doing so may affect certain website features.

6. Email Communications and CAN-SPAM Compliance

If you subscribe to our newsletter or contact us via our contact form, we may send you commercial electronic messages. In compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act: • Every commercial email we send will clearly identify itself as a commercial message. • We will include our valid physical or electronic postal address in all commercial emails. • Every commercial email will include a clear and conspicuous way to opt out of receiving future messages. • We will honor opt-out requests within 10 business days. • We will not use deceptive subject lines or "From" addresses. 7. Third-Party Service Providers

We share personal information with the following service providers that assist us in operating our website and delivering our services: • Resend (resend.com) — delivers transactional and marketing emails sent via our contact and subscription forms. Resend processes data only as directed by us and is contractually bound to protect your information. • Vercel (vercel.com) — hosts our website infrastructure. Vercel may process server log data that includes IP addresses. We do not authorize these providers to use your personal information for their own purposes. We require all service providers to implement appropriate security measures and to handle your data in accordance with applicable law.

8. Data Retention

We retain contact form data for up to 24 months from the date of collection, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized. Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe. Server log data is typically retained for 90 days. Where we are required by law to retain data for a longer period, we will do so and delete it promptly when that obligation expires.

9. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to personal information is restricted to authorized personnel with a business need to know. While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International Data Transfers

BitWeave is based in the United States. If you are accessing our website from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. US data protection laws may differ from those in your country of residence. By using our website or services, you consent to this transfer. We take reasonable measures to ensure that any international transfers of personal information are handled securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

11. Children's Privacy

Our website and services are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at tyler@bitweave.me and we will delete it promptly.

12. Do Not Track

Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that signals websites you visit that you do not want to have your online activity tracked. Our website does not currently respond to DNT signals. We will update this section if we adopt a DNT standard in the future.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will post the revised policy on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. If we make material changes, we will provide notice by email or by a prominent notice on our website prior to the change becoming effective.
